A Knight in the Woods
The king demands that all his knight prove their courage by spending a single night in the kingdom's haunted woods.
Instructions
Use the arrow keys or WASD to move the Knight. Use the mouse button to fire at mobs.
Press 1 to select a heavy-hitting hammer.
Press 2 for a fast sword.
Collect fire to power your light.
Use mouse scroll to zoom in on the action or scroll out to find fires nearby.
Development
This is my first time using URP, so it took way more time than 3 hours, but I decided that since I was already over the three hours, I wanted a game with fewer flaws than I normally would have for a Trijam submission.
Updates
Version 1.2 saw the resolution increase to 800px square. Fires can now be picked up to add fuel to your light. The blobs now have speed-up mechanics to prevent running away tactics.
The voting for Trjam 255 has finished, and the game came 12th out of 50; I got a lot of great feedback. Version 1.3 has two weapon choices and a new green mob swarm. Zoom in and out.
To Do
There needs to be another variety of mob. More mobs to add stillPick up fuel to power the Knight's light(added 1.2)Make fire interactable in some way(added 1.2)- Allow for special tiles to have some unique places in the woods
- Pick up chest for health consumables or other possibilities (in Progress)
- Small into for exposition (should be skippable)
- Improved game over.

The game was made with Unity with Visual Studio, images were created and edited using Piskel and Photoshop, and the sound was edited with Audacity.
